Fribroma Removal Treatment
If your child has difficulty feeding, which includes nursing, speaking, or moving their tongue freely, a tongue-tie or lip-tip might be the cause. Depending on the requirements, we have a surgical option as well as both a diode laser, Er:YAG laser or Nd:YAG laser which can help with the treatment. By releasing the tissue, we can improve comfort, function and oral development. The laser does allow for fine ablation and faster healing. Besides frenectomies, using similar techniques, we are able to offer fibroma removals, operculectomies, hemangioma and leukoplakia treatment. . For a laser assisted procedure, there must be a minimal level of patient cooperation for safety reasons, since the laser does take long to perform than a traditional surgical approach.

Conservative Laser Cavity Preparations
Our dental laser provides the widest range of hard-tissue drilling options available. The minimally invasive nature of Variable Square Pulse Er:YAG technology permits precise and gentle hard-tissue ablation in enamel and dentin without heating the surrounding tooth structure.
Using a single high-performance instrument, with reduced need for anesthesia, makes hard-tissue procedures faster and easier to perform. And with no uncomfortable vibration, both patients and practitioners experience maximum satisfaction and comfort.
Tooth Desensitization
Dentin hypersensitivity (DHS) affects a patient’s quality of life. DHS and cervical/root sensitivity is very common. It is characterized by short, sharp pain arising from exposed dentin in response to a stimuli such as heat, touch or chemical irritation. Dentin is covered by enamel in the crown region and by cementum in the radicular region. When the enamel or cementum is removed, the underlying dentin will be exposed along with the dentine tubules, producing dentin hypersensitivity. DHS occurs by loss of protective covering over the dentin, leading to the exposure and opening of dentinal tubules.
Our laser helps to recrystallize the dentin, producing a nonpours surface and can reduce neural transmission in the dentinal tubules, hence reducing permeability and block fluid movement. The results are rapid with shorter treatment times.
Laser Assisted Ceramic Debonding
Removing a veneer or a crown usually requires cutting the restoration with a bur. This requires a replacement with a new restoration. Our laser assisted removal process can sometimes accomplish removal without damaging the restoration. We can also remove orthodontic brackets with our Er:YAG laser. It is the laser energy through the veneer or crown that is absorbed in the bonding material which causes modification to its bonding strength that allows for painless removal.
Nightlase Snoring Therapy
We can use a non-invasive laser treatment to improve your sleep. The treatment helps to decrease the amplitude of snoring by tightening the oral mucosa. This is achieved by stimulating collagen production in the affected area. The Er:YAG laser allows for safe heat penetration into the mucosal tissue at just the right strength to be efficacious in collagen production. The treatment does not work or last for everyone, but we have positive results in attenuating snoring for some people. The literature for this treatment can be found in the Compendium of Nightlase and other Otolaryngology Applications.
The treatment requires three separate sessions over six weeks. The benefits can last up to one year in some people. This also impacts your partner’s rest and improves provides you with the benefits of a good night’s sleep. Relationships can be positively impacted by the treatment because it does not require a device to be worn during sleep and is non-invasive and is repeatable as needed. Photobiomodulation and Pain Management
Photobiomodulation (PBM) provides clinically proven, non-invasive solutions for wound healing and pain management. Our technology can help with pain reduction in the temporomandibular joint or with migraines related to orofacial pain. It is non-invasive because we use a low level, visible red or near infrared light energy to stimulate natural healing and inflammation reduction. The process also helps to accelerate tissue regeneration, stimulate cell metabolism and increase lymphatic flow and stimulation of the micro circulation.
Facial Esthetics
With our Er:YAG laser, we offer fast and patient friendly lip enhancements without the need for needles or fillers. This is 100% natural. The precise wavelength stimulates collagen and elastin production in or around the lips simply by accessing from inside the mouth at the inner aspect of the lips. We can help tighten the lips or improve wrinkle appearance. The rejuvenation is natural looking with little or no downtime. The treatment is non-ablative, without bleeding and works by thermal stimulation. The precise Er:YAG laser pulses actives safe collagen formation and remodeling.
Tooth Whitening
We have both a diode laser and Er:YAG laser option for in office whitening. The procedure is minimally invasive because it utilizes a unique wavelength that is readily absorbed in water of the whitening gel. Because of this the laser does not penetrate to the hard tissue (tooth) or the pulp (tooth nerve). By being absorbed in the whitening gel, there is no direct heat to the tooth and the heat stimulation remains in the gel which does the work to whiten the tooth.
We also offer a take home option if you would like to be in more control of your whitening process. Sometimes, patients choose both and use the take home option as a touch up option for special events during the year. If you want something more readily, we offer a charcoal based toothpaste that can serve as your regular toothpaste.
